Nick gets the chance to move to a small town away from the city he grew up in. He finds a massive, dilapidated Victorian home and buys it to fix it up, despite the whispers of warning from the townspeople. As he renovates and strange things occur around him, he starts to believe the mutterings of it being haunted. Strangely enough, unlike the previous tenants that have somehow succumbed to an untimely death, Nick lives his best life in his big home in the little field surrounded by a massive forest. It isn't long before he finally meets the mysterious, haunting creature, solidifying the proof of the existence of the man in the house.

Shepherd had run all his life. Constant, unabating movement that consumed him. It was relentless, be it the demons within his own mind or external pursuers out of his control, there was always another beast snapping at his heel, urging him forward in the eternal chase. But that was behind him. He was settled now, happy, hidden away from the prying eyes and reaching claws. Until He returned. Reece Greymoore, a name Shepherd so desperately wished to eradicate from his mind. Their meeting had been brief, a lifetime ago, ending on soured notes that Shepherd no longer allowed to disturb his slumber. Reece shouldn't have found him, and yet there he was, speaking of friendship and favours and other pleasantries that had Shepherd's guard firmly bolstered around himself. But Reece never appeared in a shower of sunshine and rose petals. Rather, he spoke of so much worse, of threats to Shepherd's very life. Promises of safety fell upon deaf ears, disbelief a much more comforting blanket to reside within. Reece was not only an alpha but he was a ghost, a figure within Shepherd's past that should have never arisen. He arrived with death and dismay in his wake, sweet words weren't repayment enough. Reece's presence had shattered the fragile cage around Shepherd, allowing the light in, reminding him of the freedom of the chase. The roots he had planted were withering, tearing apart beneath him, leaving nothing but rot and decay where he stood. Maybe running was just how it was meant to be...

A famous poet once said; "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned." Hell hasn't met Nathan Grimes. - Nathan Grimes's life comes crashing down around him when he finds out his entire family has been murdered. When his attempt at bringing them back from the dead fails, he resorts to the next best thing: revenge. Rowan has finally escaped captivity. He would've been ecstatic, if not for the fact that his escape hinged entirely on his sister sacrificing herself. Now Rowan vows to fulfil his final promise to her: to get to the unknown town called Nova Falls, and find the man she'd simply referred to as "Grimes". Promise fulfilled, he was going to go back for her, and wreak havoc on the people who'd captured and mistreated them, no matter what it took. Despite Nathan's badly hidden desire to love and be loved, and Rowan's staunch refusal to trust anyone but his sister; from the waters of their grief and the ashes of their rage and thirst for revenge - slowly, disbelievingly, love begins to bloom. - Copyright © 2021 Viano Oniomoh All rights reserved.
