Pyra Santos, 16-year-old princess of The Fire Nation. Her mom died when she was five, in battle, leaving just her and her father, Lord Pharaoh, behind.
Pyra grew up in confinement. She couldn't leave out the fire nation for years. Her father didn't want anyone knowing of her existence until she was old enough to defend herself from threats outside the nation. Once she became of age, her grandmother convinced her dad to let her enroll into Occult Academy. The school her mom had envisioned her going to once she was older.
Occult Academy usually enrolls all students into a low ranked class upon entrance, but this year one teacher by the name of Yoshi decides to change things up. He holds a battle for the new students to decide who will stay in the low ranked class and who will be placed into the high ranked class upon completion of their battle. After that day everyone is placed into teams in which they will be together until the school year is over.
