The ice rink is the only place Lilly feels at home. She's been going there everyday since her family fell apart and the walls of her house started haunting her. She's been a practiced figure skater since she learnt how to walk. Skating on ice isn't much different from walking on the ground for her, but for Brendan Lionice, it doesn't take much to tread on the ice surrounding Lilly's heart and fall through the cracks in the thin surface. When the boy with learning difficulties suddenly drops out of college and mysteriously disappears, the whole town is looking for him. From the nobody that no one ever noticed walking down the hall at LakeGarten School of Arts and Humanities, Brendan is now talk of the town. It's not long before Lily finds herself in the middle of the mystery as she realises she needs redemption for hurting him on more than one occasion. But while doing so, her icy heart begins to melt and she lets him in, slowly; so slowly she doesn't realise when and how it happens. And she falls.
