The beep of an alarm fills my ears. The oxygen mask falls down and hits me on the head; I bat it away. Somewhere, a baby is crying. All that fills my mind is I'm gonna die, I'm gonna die--
A cart rolls down the aisle, hitting me in the leg. I jump up and hit my head on the ceiling. The world spins into an array of color and sound; the floor tips up to my face. I can't tell if the plane is tilting, or if I'm passing out...
There's a horrific screeching of metal, and an ear-shattering bang. The windows break. Seats come detached from the floor and bounce crazily around the plane.
Then, for a second, everything is completely still. Seats are floating in midair; there's a strange silvery powder suspended in front of my face. Bits of broken glass stop in midair.
And then everything goes black.
