Monna was always a little different. She grew up with what most would classify as a "good life." But she didn't see it that way. Two intelligent older siblings and smart parents could get a little tiresome. In middle school, she began to notice that she wasn't the same as other kids. She would think about the future, her life after schooling, her family, her death instead of thinking about the latest gossip or what people were wearing. A big thing on her mind was not only "that boy is really cute", but also "that girl is really pretty." And being somewhat socially awkward, it was hard not to get teased and bullied. So behind the bright happy family look that came across, there was hidden darkness that only she knew about.
