I don't get it. I really don't. I died, I get that much. But waking up in a dark and squishy place, with absolutely NO ROOM to move, I DON'T GET. Let's recap. It was a regular day. I got up, ate, showered and went to work. I was a police officer. I was checking out a house call about domestic abuse. I didn't even get to knock on the door before a man bursted out screaming at a women about calling the pigs on him. It didn't take much to figure out he was the abuser with the way he was holding her arm tight enough to bruise. I tried to diffuse the situation, told him to calm down and let her go. As a child you always fear the monster under your bed or in your closet. Maybe you watched a scary movie or were told a horror story to make you believe something was under there. You jump onto your bed and jerk your limbs away from the edge or always shut your closet door. Then you hide under the covers in hopes that they don't get to you. As you grow older you realize the invisible monster under your bed is just that, invisible. Its not that they don't exist, it's just that you don't see them. You write off the bumps in the night as the wind or shifting floorboards but they're lies. Little white lies you tell yourself so you can sleep at night. Well I'm here to tell you that whatever is causing those bumps is very real. In my case, the source doesn't hide in my closet but rather under my bed. And he's determined to drag me right there with him. Can you be friends with the monster under your bed? ** "Ask me Aria," he rasped. His voice dripped with temptation that would make the devil jealous. His lips were brushing against mine as we leaned into each other. I felt like I was drowning in his presence. They go to investigate, only to find that the mysterious object is a dark astronaut's that is possessed by an alien lifeform. The helmet then forces itself onto Ryan's head, giving him strange superpowers that are truly out of this world. The group of friends, led by their new alien companion, embark on an exciting journey around the futuristic city of Cyberlantis, making new friends along the way and discovering some of the city's secrets from years passed by. However, throughout their adventure, the five friends cant help but feel that somebody is watching their every move... Originally, I created this book for my graphic art A level course, and since then I have expanded it into a two part series, both featuring hand drawn illustrations by me. The illustrations get much better in quality as the story goes along as my digital drawing skills grew overtime as I wrote the story.Complete
