she was sent to the farms beacuse her parents had no more use for her,
they would need her only if her brother killua fails as the family heir.
she will take his place . at age 6 she is sent to gracefield and meets her closest friends, she has finally found a comforting home after 6 years of extreme training to turn her into the iron assassin she is today.
Dola is extremely intelligent even if she doesn't look it.
she was sent to gracefield because she is the smartest in the zoldyck family and they wanted a place to expand her knowledge and brilliance.
