Humanoid aliens show up to compete at a near-future Olympics, held once again in Los Angeles. Every power on Earth is clawing at each other to obtain their technology. Apparently undefended, they are in fact a marginal group of dissidents their own authorities consider expendable. Two athletes from Vancouver each form a relationship with one of them, and when they uncover a plot to intern them and subject them to interrogation for their space-faring technology, risk their lives to warn them. However, they have seen too much of it in operation and are abducted and expected to assimilate into the alien society.

Six high school students looks like anyone else acts like anyone else but are capable of things no one else is. They learnt from a young age no one that means NO ONE can know about their powers even their parents and other siblings. It brings out the true friends and those who just want to use you. In the end, what do you do when your closest friend betrays you? This is the story as they try to keep their biggest darkest secret of what they are capable of and as they discover they're not the only ones like them... I am not very good at trigger warnings before individual chapters but there is mention of blood, cold abuse and parents divorcing. (But read at your own risk in case I mention something else. I am working on rewriting this story and when I do there will be the trigger warnings in the correct places.) (small teaser.) No one sees me. I am a ghost. I brush against the wooden fence. Prologue: Earth has found out they're not alone in the universe. An alien species have contacted Earth, giving them a chance to be protected by the aliens out there that threatens the universe. They inform them that there are in fact thousands of alien species out there. The alien race, who calls themselves Opsidians, offer Earth a chance at competing in the Games, a televised reality competition game they host. In order to win the protection, Earth will have to send a tribute to the Games. They know little to nothing about the Games or these alien species.
