this story is obviously fictional.....but is also a nod to my interest in true crime. please be aware of this while reading.

A 19 year old student was filled missing and 2 years later, what some call his best friend, shares his recollection of events with authorities. what starts of as a funny slowburn turns into a twisted criminal case.

When things turn for the worse in Komeada's new found relationship with a childhood friend, who comes to save the day? No one. with no one to lean on there's nowhere to go. but unlike him, Hinata has his roommate and best friend Chiaki, who'd much rather play her switch than talking to her weird neighbors. Hajime on the other hand can't get over his curiosity.

will we have a happy end? a sad one? will I ever stop being lazy and actually end this book? Thats for you to learn and time to tell.

Nagito Komaeda is a mute boy. He's been mute his entire life, and fins himself to dream of what it would be like to speak, and being envious of those who do speak. Without any parents or legal guardians to adopt him or such, he lives at a hospital near his school. There, he has a few friends. Although, each day, a butterfly tends to come and visit his hospital bedroom window, an odd occurrence, to put it in simplest terms. Alongside this, Hajime Hinata is what people would call a normal boy. His life usually was nothing to write home about, and he was at least able to realize that. He hardly had any friends, the count only being two, and he usually felt a longing. A longing for a more unique and special life, something that would contrast from the rest of it all. As if to grant his simple wish, a butterfly is usual to turn up by his own bedroom window every day, checking up on him like some worried mother. Hajime Hinata is on a class trip to Jabberwock Island with ultimate students at Hope's peak academy. Although he's with kids from school and would most likely get along with them...he feels a strange awkwardness when around them. There's a catch though, Hajime isn't really like the others; he doesn't have an ultimate. Because of that, he thinks the others might look down on him. But there is one student that looks down on him the most, Nagito Komaeda: the ultimate lucky student. He believes since Hajime doesn't have a talent, he's not valid like everyone else and decides to put him down for something he can't control.
