The last thing spunky-teenager and wannabe vlogger Autumn Flores wants to do all summer is spend her precious time in her grandparent's hometown, an Island in the middle of nowhere where Wi-Fi could be considered witchcraft for how backwards it is. With nothing to do, she takes to documenting all the oddities the secretive backwater island had to offer to all her online followers.
That is, until she finds a girl at the top of a watchtower, plunging to her death into the restless sea, and a book with her own handwriting and signature in it, detailing spells, formulas, drawings, and a whole other paralel reality where magic is real. It would've been already weird if it weren't for the fact that the same girl appears in town the next day, very much alive, and not remembering her untimely demise.
A mysterious book with ties to a magical realm, a dead girl walking, and a town with secrets in every corner. Autumn's summer just got a little more interesting.
And a little bit more dangerous.
