I looked down the side of the building. Should I do this? I thought stepping a little farther towards safety. What have I got to lose? No one loves me, I should just stop being a waste of air. I stepped to the very edge of the building. Come on. I couldn't bring myself to just step off. My heart raced, my hair was drenched with sweat. Just do it. I stepped off, sending myself hurtling towards the pavement.

I went through what no one else did. I dealt with much more than any other could. But most importantly, I survived to tell my story, and to prevent others from going through the same thing. I use two terms to describe everything in my life. Before, and After. Before was when I was able to be clueless, and live with my head in the clouds. After, refers to after everything that shaped me happened. I can't help but wonder how things would have turned out if only I hadn't run away that one day...

I was waiting for my dad when my life changed. Not in any way like a fairy tale with magic wands or going through a rabbit hole like kids in the books do. More like I found it and wished my father came back to clean up his own problem instead of risking my life for this. I can only hope that I will make it out alive.

I hadn't thought it would be this way. That I would end up in a place like this. That I would end up in... Hell.
