"Why?" his voice was a mere shaky whisper but the horror and disbelief that laced it stung me. I raised my head and looked at him, rivulets of tears running down my muddied cheeks. I opened my mouth to speak but only sobbing sounds of grief and disgust came out. He wouldn't understand. --- What she had was powerful and frightening. No amount of control could tame it, so her only option was to bury it at the back of her head and forget it even existed. But then there were stirrings, stirrings that forced her to deviate from her comfort zone and delve deeper in what she could and could not do. Stirrings that prompted her to discover a side she didn't know she had. (This is NOT a werewolf story)
