The Excerpt Introduction: 35 Girls, 1 Prince, The Selection of a lifetime What if reality changed in an instant Maxon wasn't the Prince America wasn't a five And Aspen wasn't the Guard What if there was a chance that the tables were turned I'm sure America wouldn't change anything Neither does Maxon But if Aspen just did it right or if there was just that equal chance Illéa would be changed forever. And now this question ponders... Will it still be the selection of a lifetime?

Daniel Schreave, 19, prince of Illéa. Paris Marie, 18, a two from Carolina. - Paris was one of the few twos 'lucky' to succeed in entering the selection, it was a truth universally acknowledged that the upper castes were in fact outcasts and that never changed. It was doubtful that it ever would. So I guess there is only one question. Will Daniel take a liking to our outcast or will society's prejudice sway his views. Or, and possibly worse, has another girl stolen his heart?
