"What." He deadpans as he notices me staring at him.
"Can you move your stuff over? I barely have any room to work" I reply, indicating to his school work scattered over our table.
He looks like he's about to object but then he makes eye contact with me and he seems to freeze, staring into my eyes. I scrunch my face in confusion, waving my hand in front of his face until he snaps out of it.
"Uh, sorry, yea" He suddenly says as he quickly turns his head away from me and pushes his school work back onto his side of the table.
"Thanks" I say back, still confused on what just happened.
Why did he freeze when he looked into my eyes?
