Now, Lynx has to decide whether she will give in and tell Demien all he wants to know or bite her tongue and wait for him to lose his patience. But the more Lynx thinks about it the more she doubts Scorpius and Seren are dead. For one thing, her golden thread is still intact, and her heart doesn't feel as broken as it would if Seren had died. She knows deep in her soul that they're both out there and may be searching for her. Will Lynx be able to hold on long enough for them to find her, to confirm if what she believes about them being alive is true? Or will her anger get the best of her, as well as her mouth, causing Demien to accept he will get nothing out of her and end her once and for all?
