Wanting to start all over again after discovering her boyfriend's affair with a rising actress, marketing content writer Elwen Jiang moves to her late grandfather's house in a gated village, not realizing at first that she has to live next to Darren Hong, a famous actor known to have no take twos in filming idol drama scenes, earning him the title, 'Perfect Shot'. However good, Darren actually deals with his inability to feel and give sincerity, making him unable to cry real tears.
After Darren accused her of stalking and spreading false dating rumours about the two of them, Elwen reveals that she sees through Darren's expressions and told the actor that he never once have been sincere about his acts no matter how expressive he looked on camera.
Because of that, he began watching her and wondered why she sees through his inability despite his hard work in mastering the art of acting.
However, as soon as he gets to find the girl who made him cry for real for the first time several years ago, he would sooner realize that he had to make Elwen see him other than typically just being the idol next door.
