La Nuit Bengali is a 1933 Romanian novel written by the author and philosopher Mircea Eliade. It is a fictionalized account of the love story between Eliade, who was visiting India at the time, and the young Maitreyi Devi.

You don't get to decide whether you want to be in love or not because it doesn't warn you before coming. Even if you are firm not to, it just happens, against your wishes, and you don't come to know when you completely surrender to it. Love set amidst music and mystery. A beautiful love story. I don't think you must have read anything like this before. Read to the end and you'll know what I mean.
