The Souldier's Creed...You swear an oath to your own country...It goes something like this:
Soldier's Creed. I am a warrior and a member of a team. I serve the people of the United States, and live the Army Values. I will always place the mission first. I will never accept defeat. I will never quit. I will never leave a fallen comrade. I am disciplined, physically and mentally tough, trained, and proficient in my warrior tasks and drills. I always maintain my arms, my equipment, and myself. I am an expert and I am professional. I stand ready to deploy, engage, and destroy the enemies of the United States of America in close combat. I am a guardian of freedom and the American way of life. I am an American Soldier.

As I open the door I see a Marine standing there in his uniform with a few envelopes in his hand. "Are your Alana Kelsall?" he asks in a kind voice. Confused I reply "Yeah I am please, call me Anna." as Bentley peeks out from behind my legs. I have this really bad feeling in the pit of my stomach that I know what this is about. "I'm General R. Paul, on behalf of the United States Marine Corps, we are sorry to tell you that Captain Damon Norris was killed in the line of duty. These are for you." He says handing me the two envelopes. <3 Damon and Anna have been best friends since they were in diapers. Their families are close friends. When Damon was 18 he decided to join the forces, more specifically the Marines; following in his grandfather's footsteps. What she doesn't know is that he has loved her since he was only 13 but, was just too scared to tell her. He had only one week after basic training to see his family before being deployed to Iraq for 4 years. So they decided to spend his last week together and before his deployment; they wind up sleeping together. Resulting in her becoming pregnant. What would you do if you were told that your best friend, and the father to your children was dead? Mil SO (Military Significant Other)
My chest hurt as an empty feeling rushed over me. My breathing picked up as I clutched my chest. It was painful but yet, oh so familiar. Black dots swam in my vision as my heart beat wildly. I closed my eyes and tried to calm my breathing. Panic attacks weren't uncommon for me. I'd had them ever since the accident. I felt the tears roll down my cheeks as my face heated. It was getting harder to breath. It felt like the walls were closing in around me, and the oxygen was being sucked out of the room. "Iris! Calm down. You have to calm down," a voice sounded from a distance. It was too late; I was in full panic attack mode. My body shook as I sobbed in gasps. I felt hands on my arms but barely. I was too far-gone. The black dots increased as my breathing did. I'd done this too many times to know what was coming next. I hyperventilated until I passed out completely. ~ After a traumatic event that led to her family's death, Iris moves with her Aunt to California to try and start over. Iris Morgan grew up a military brat. With her dad in the Marines, she grew accustomed to that lifestyle, until she was ripped from it. Now she has to be the new girl all over again. Only this time, she has to keep her C-PTSD in check as well as survive a high school full of teen celebrites, cute boys, and around the clock drama. Lee Marshall was anything but a typical woman, she grew up in a military home with her father, General George Marshall or simply, The General, her mother, sweet Caroline, and her two older brothers, Grant and Jackson. Yup, you guessed it, they are all three named after famous generals. Her father was a strict but fair military man, U.S. Army. Her brothers followed in the family tradition that went back for hundreds of years and enlisted in the Army. They all three attended military school, then West Point. Much to her father's dismay and pride, she signed up too. The military didn't make things easy for her, it is still very much a man's world, but Lee didn't take anyone's shit. She was tough, focused and damn good at her job. If they let women into the special forces, she would have been perfect, but they didn't so she was one of the best damned weapons specialists out there. She made it her life and loved every minute of it. When her mother died from breast cancer,Lee, Grant, and Jackson had been deployed and although her brothers had been called back, she was on a mission that they couldn't pull her out of in Fallujah, that mission changed her life forever. She was captured along with her team and held prisoner for two weeks before the SEAL team got them out. She was never the same after that, and due to the injuries she sustained, medically discharged from the Army. She had a long road to recovery ahead of her and knew she was on her own. Carter Stevens was a hardcore Navy SEAL who lived one day at a time, one mission at a time. He never settled down in one place and he was done with that. He was ready for a good woman and a family of his own. He had no family to speak of, the SEALs were all he had, all he needed until he meets Lee. She storms into his life, all pissed off, and throws him for a loop. Will they click or blow themselves to pieces?Complete
Marching Fleet
This is a show script inspired heavily by many different classic franchises like Star Wars, Star Trek, Battlestar: Galactica and Halo. The story is a military sci-fi action show with a bit of drama in between and some fantasy elements later on and also sprinkled with comedy now and again. The show is also heavily peppered with music terminology and music references like the names of certain ships and aspects of war and the names of factions specially. I made this show as an allegory for my experience in band and all characters are based on real people and the relationships between them. A story about war in the universe. I joined the band at my high school as a brass player, specifically tuba, and became obsessed with all things music, it was always present in all things I did. One day I made a drawing of a ship and called it the "SS Vanguard Brass" and sent it to my friends in brass. One responded by saying "hey, that should be a fan fiction or something"(Duclos), so I sat down and thought about it and decided that if I was going to do it, even though I adore movies, it would have to be a show. So I spent a few hours of my day that I had to spare and wrote a pilot that I then shared with my friends. They adored the script and said they would support me with creative help(meaning they would judge would I write). A few months later it is now being read by many people I know, including the director of my high school band.
