Trapped in an academy with 15 other students and forced into a killing game, Maki Harukawa makes one point: Don't get involved. Being the Ultimate Assassin would arouse distrust and unease from everyone, and that's something she doesn't want. She doesn't plan to kill unless someone tries to kill her first, but if her Ultimate is revealed, that is bound to happen sooner rather than later.
However, her plans are foiled as a certain starstruck idiot refuses to leave her alone. Kaito Momota, the Ultimate Astronaut, drags her to the group. But, in a killing game, how long can the hesitant friendships last?
