Dinah Lance and Rick Tyler were best friends, until her mother was killed in a gruesome battle against the Injustice Society of America and his parents were killed a year later in a car accident. 

Now nine years later, a girl with a staff that belonged to one of her mother's teammates shows up and claims the Injustice Society of America is back and is in their town. With the help of her new friend, Courtney Whitmore, the two form a new Justice Society of America team. For Dinah, old friendships are rekindled and current friendships are tested as she balances being a superhero and a regular girl.
