Dipper never felt right in his body, so when he became an adult he got surgery to fix that without his parents knowing. He thought he could hide it until he lived on his own but when his father is asked to go to war he knows what he has to do.

Author note: This story is based on a theory I read about Dipper being trans and is also based on Mulan. I don't know a whole lot about the trans community but will do my best to write it the proper way. Please anyone correct me if they feel like I wrote something wrongAll Rights Reserved

They then decide it was best for them to flee to the Mainland to start a new life and raise the child. At least they hope. . . .
