ROSEMARY ANDALORO'S life took the term "soulmates" way too literally. Technically, it wasn't Romi's fault. How could she have known that the empathy link would be too strong? She didn't even know she made an empathy link. Well, now she was stuck. Stuck at age she didn't know anymore. Romi just watched on as everything around her changed. She watched her friends grow old, and turn against or away from her. And Romi got used to it. She was used to being the same. She knew couldn't age until her empathetically linked "soulmate" aged, and that wasn't going to happen if said person was a tree.

Running is all I know. I've been running my whole life. Running away from bullies, running from my responsibilities, and now, running from my family. I would already be dead if it weren't for Luke Castellan and Thalia Grace. We were all half-bloods. Only half mortal. My mother was Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom. Thalia was the only living child of Zeus, the god of thunder, and Luke was a son of Hermes, the messenger of the gods. Being half bloods gives us a strong scent. A scent that attracts bloodthirsty monsters at every turn. We run because if we ever stop, they'll catch us and kill us. We run because there's no other options. Nowhere for people like us. It's about being yourself and knowing, not only that person is following and understanding your thoughts, but is right there with you, side by side. Whenever your soulmate learns to write, one word appears on your body which is very close to your soulmate. The mark also appears in his/her handwriting and is light brown in color. If your soulmate dies, then the mark slowly fades away. When you meet your soulmate, the mark becomes black in color and you develop a special link with your soulmate. For some people, the soulmates feel each other's pain or they feel each other's emotions- happy and not-so-happy. But not in Annabeth's case. Read on to find out.
