There are four pillars of destiny.

The day, hour, month, and year of our birth are used to predict someone's future.

Did this determine my life, did I condemn myself to events that shaped me forever, or do we just assign a name to what we can't control, the actions of others, or how we are triggered by our history. 

This is my story, I'm Saffron Avery. Don't expect it to be motivational or romantic. There is nothing motivational about me, but I did fall in love. It didn't end well, there were very few pieces left intact. Callum. A yeti with long blond hair, he didn't see what my eyes were screaming. 

Pain.

But I saw his. In them was the love I lost years ago that neither he nor anyone else could bring back. He thinks he can hurt me, but he can't, because I am the villain in this story.

This is what I am, what I was, and maybe what I ever will be, but it is my story, not ours. MINE. Don't expect me to be feminist or empowered or take over the world. I'm just fighting to survive...

There are a lot of things you don't really think about until they happen to you. Take rape, for instance. I always thought, "That won't happen to me. I have a boyfriend. I trust him. He would never take advantage of me like that..." I couldn't have been more wrong. Love in this day and age is often confused for manipulation and abuse. The warning signs are here. The things we say will tell us everything that is wrong. You are worth more than what you think you are. It's not your fault. If they tell you otherwise, get out. Burn the bridge. Always remember someone is waiting for you to walk into their life. Someone needs you. Someone loves you. Getting away from all of the wrong people and finding the right ones could save you. I can promise you right now that it saved me. These are the journal entries and selected poems from my first experience of love that left a unpleasant taste in my mouth- quite literally. I still don't know why you left and what lead you to the decision you made. What I do know is that we're here. We're alive and we're pushing forward to the future. A future that you're not a part of.
