Meredith Grey had a baby with a one-night stand, Derek Christopher Shepherd, her true love. When things didn't go according to plan, she decided to place the baby for adoption, which was the right thing to do at the time. But what happens when that baby shows up 15 years later at their doorstep?

Takes place in the later seasons.

"I can't do this anymore, I need to go. I need to leave." I sigh

"That's your problem. You keep running away from us. I thought the last time was the last time?" Dad argues

"Dad, please. Just let me go. Don't make this harder than it already is." I plead

"You're doing just that. You keep destroying us, over and over again. Maybe you shouldn't come back this time, Riley. Maybe this isn't your home anymore." He says with a rude tone.

"Dad, I didn't mean-Mom can you tell him that's not what I-" I turn to her for help.

"Riley, we love you so much, but we can't keep doing this. Are you here or not?" She asks

"I'm trying so hard, none of you see that? Don't you understand?" I shake my head.

"Ry, are you leaving again?" Ellis pops out from the corner.

"I need a break..." I collapse against the wall, breaking down in tears.
