Da Capo: a music term for 'from the beginning'. Starting all over again.

At twenty-seven, Stephanie Ryan had to restart her life Da Capo. After being heartbroken by her ex-boyfriend Leon, Stephanie knew she needed a change. Music had always been her dearest passion in life, so on a whim she left her boring HR job in Boston to live in London with her friend and fellow violinist Lydia. Taking in the culture of classical music in the city would hopefully remind her who she truly was.

Kyle Lancaster had been Juilliard's shining star two years ago: a concert pianist graduating at the top of his class, he soon became a well-known name amongst the classical music scene, selling out performance halls nearly every night while on tour. Now he's back home in London teaching a masterclass at the Royal Academy... but so is his ex, the famous violin virtuoso Chloe Alistair. Being here with her will no doubt be awkward, considering how his fans (and his publicists) expect the two of them to get back together.

But one day before class, Kyle walked in on a red-haired woman practicing her violin all alone. He found her to be rude, tactless, and utterly infuriating... and before he knew it, all the plans other people had for his life came crumbling down around him.

With her carefree laughter and boundless energy, she's everything Dean isn't-bright, confident, and full of life. Known as 'Seraphine' in ReAL, she stream hops her way through the app, meeting new people on her own terms. But when she stumbles into one of Epitaph's streams, drawn by his deep, mesmerizing voice, an unexpected connection sparks. What begins as playful banter slowly evolves into something deeper, something more real than they could have imagined. But when the virtual masks start to crack and the truth comes to light, can love survive in both worlds? As secrets unravel, trust is tested, and hearts are broken, the line between ReAL and reality blurs. Dean and Saffron must decide whether they can face each other's truths-or if the love they found in ReAL was nothing more than a beautiful illusion. (This is the original version of what I had submitted for class, which was the "Music Knows No Bounds". I do hope those who read this enjoy.. I guess. This story is just a vent space after all.)

"If you asked me three months ago what heartbreak was, I would tell you it's losing somebody close to you due to unspeakable circumstances. But right now, in this moment, I would say it's you. I would say it's the feeling I got in my chest when I realized I was out of time. When I stood in the rain and yelled for you to stay, but all I saw was your back. I would say heartbreak is lying in bed at two in the morning, watching my ceiling fan go around and around, wondering why you couldn't stop to listen. Two seconds. All I needed was two seconds to say the words. All I needed was to seconds for me to tell you I was in love with you. With everything about you. With the way you move, and the feeling of your arms around me. With the feeling of your chest vibrating as you laugh. Heartbreak is falling in love with everything about you, but having the words permanently stuck in my throat." _____ Gracelyn Levinsky grew up with Daniel Grey. She has always looked to him as a brother, but when she escapes from her abusive Mom and moves to the same town Danny moved to when he was ten, she finds out that he's in love with her. After countless attempts to get her to feel the same, Danny gives up. But when Grace realizes just how much she does love Danny, words can't help her because he shut her out of his life completely.
