Reformed thief Bells Pendragon is on the run from the City Guard, and she doesn't know why.

Three strikes and it's off to the Royal Mines to work off your crimes, and with two crosses already inked into her palm, Bells is out of time. Saved from capture by a mysterious enchanter, Bells accepts a job working at an enchanted trinket shop.

But Felix Lockhart is more than meets the eye. Under a flirtatious and flighty exterior he plays a secret game- one in which he's already made Bells a pawn.

As the City Guard close in, Bells must clear her name even as her attraction to Felix grows. But unless she finds the key to his Pandora's box, his secrets may cost Bells her freedom.
