I sat at my desk looking over my orders of the day: a gravity stone, an invisibility hood, a small productivity spell, and an assortment of magical crystals. As I looked up at the clock, wondering if I would get anyone interesting before the day came to an end, I heard a scratching noise coming from the stairs. 
"Anything good today?"
"Naa, just some little things and a hood. I could probably get all of these things right in town."
"Huh, I still don't see how people are willing to pay you to get them stuff they could get themselves right in the same city."...

Little did they know what was to come.

With that, he disappeared into the woods, leaving me alone.

Something didn't feel right. I looked around my room slowly; cautiously; taking everything in and trying not to feel too nervous. Perhaps Lure was in my room right now, watching me, silently laughing to himself. I didn't doubt it. I slipped off my bed and walked around, hugging my waist, and tilted my head. I felt my rough ponytail slide against the back of my neck and over my shoulder as I moved. "Lure?" I hissed, "Lure, are you there?" I wandered around a little, for some reason feeling scared. But why? It was only Lure. He wouldn't hurt me, would he? "Okay, Lure. Quit it. I know it's you. Who else would it-" I stopped, startled, when I heard a strange sound that made me cringe. It was like fingernails being dragged across a chalkboard. I whipped around and came face-to-face with my mirror. Immediately, I saw the difference. Various scratches were displayed across the glass, forming words. It looked as if claws had written the words in the mirror. "Deepest apologies, but it was fun." (All credit goes to my sister, who wrote this when she was in the twelfth grade)

He places me on his lap and I shift around trying to get comfortable but I can tell my movements weren't helping. "God damn it mia cara, you're gonna be the death of me" he whispers, his Italian accent coming out as he smashed his lips on mine. The kiss was nothing but aggressive, our hunger and need for each other evident. His hands grip my hair and pull my head back slightly to give him better access to my mouth. I break away to catch my breath while I begin peppering kisses on his jawline grasping his hair and tugging his head back to get more access. I easily elicit a growl from him and I teasingly bite his neck slightly before pulling away completely. I attempt to get off his lap and back into my seat but his iron grip keeps me still. "Mia cara, will you be mine" he asks huskily, his face expressing his nervousness as well as hope. I smile from ear to ear before giving him a sweet peck. "Of course you idiot" I say smiling for ear to ear.

After another manic episode, Phoenix gets written off his parents' will, and he's trying to find a reason to keep living. Causing the end of the world and being the only one who can save the world wasn't exactly what he had in mind. Phoenix wasn't meant to have magical abilities, and he most definitely shouldn't have been able to make all the money in the world disappear just by thinking about it. To make matters worse, it came with a minor side effect: a disease called Gold fever. In other words, people started to turn into gold. Over the course of a single day, Phoenix becomes the most hated person in the world. As the economy collapses around them, only three of his friends are willing to stay by his side. Their job is to keep Phoenix alive while he tries to make money reappear and find a cure to Gold fever. Which turns out to be more challenging than they thought, as they find out someone is tailing Phoenix with the intention to kill.

I wiped my forehead, sweat, and probably blood dripping down my arm and side of head as I reached for a nearby rock, trying to push on it, hoping that it might help me out of this disaster. "Mom? Betty?" I called, hoping for a response, only to get none. I didn't even get the slightest whimper from any of them. What the heck happened? "Mom?! Betty?!" I screamed this time, trying to push myself up onto my back, my leg killing me so much that I had to give up. I laid back down on the ground, placing my hand on the bottom of the table; anger, fear, confusion getting the best of me. I screamed as I banged my fists on the wood table. "MOM? BETTY?" Nothing. I was ready to bang on the wood again, but I flinched back when I heard the sound of moving rubble. Whoever it is was almost near where I was, and ... moving quickly. So, there's no possible way that it was a human. It would take hundreds do men to lift these boulders, but whoever this person is, is stronger than anyone I would kn- My thoughts froze as I watched something large wrap around the edges of the table, lifting it up; my eyes widening as I came face to face with the largest creature known to mankind. A giant. (This is my book from my own brain. These are my own characters based off my family members. Please do not steal it.)

Her brow raises, wondering if I'm serious though I notice the realisation come across her face that this has something to do with what I've been hiding from her in my suitcase. "What is this surprise?" She teases, leaning forward until I can feel her warm breath washing over my face. "Something I think you'll love," I reply, trying my best to not get overly flustered as she starts flirting and teasing me. She hums, giving my lips a small kiss. "'Love', huh? Sounds exciting," she chuckles. "Let's go upstairs then, shall we?" *** Humans are unaware of mate bonds and are even less aware of other human-appearing species, but one vampire is determined to make her human mate understand the world she never knew existed - even if its not always through the most conventional methods.
