Human civilization is all but gone. Their knowledge, gone. Only remnants remain. 'Most' of their knowledge was stored in their warning for the future. But what if Tartar wasn't the only thing that contained human knowledge? That knowledge could be found, if looked for in the right place....

Void is a product of that knowledge. He should have never existed. He shouldn't have been given this chance. His purpose? Something he embraced long ago, when there was no choice. Having fled from it, he believes he can change. He wants to. But he should have known better. With his past coming back to reclaim its property, he reunites with old allies and makes some new ones to confront it and hopefully put an end to it all.

(I update at the pace of a snail. Maybe some lemons later) First fanfic here, sucks ass.

14 years with peace and quiet; 14 years with no major disturbances; 14 years of Petra being dead, Pearl grieving and the agents of the Squidbeak Splatoon dealing with minor issues. Not to mention Cora (Agent 3) and Tobias (Agent 8) starting a family, Lance and Marie getting married and so much more. 14 years of peace... Isn't that a little too long for our main characters? I think our main villain would agree with that. So what would happen if a familiar member of the huge, confusing family, reappears but as a villain, 3 people already having known about them being alive? (Theoretically) What would happen when people are kidnapped, experimented on, turned evil against their will and forced to fight their families? What if... They couldn't save those who they dearly loved, and had to watch them die? The agents would say that it's nothing new, but within the chaos of this new villain, they would all realise that this fight would be something new. This adventure was going to be different to anything else they have done in their lifetime. This adventure was going to change all of their lives, PERMANENTLY. And it all starts with Petra, better known as Keigo. ---------------------------- 4th book out of 6.5 in the 38 Saga! Survivors of Alterna: Best for Last

20 parts Complete Mature

Akikta, the last living remnant of humanity, outsmarted death; he's all that's left, which wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the state of Earth. Like the rest of Alterna's residents, he had a dream to see the world above. But once he escaped Alterna, he came to find the surface wasn't quite like what his predecessors foretold. After twelve millennia, life moved on and now the surface is dominated by evolved sentient sea life. To add insult to injury, practically all non-mollusks, more noticeably, mammalians, have gone extinct. Even if that makes him an endangered species, it does not deter him from his ultimate goal: to save a loved one who was thought to be long lost. With his only form of help being guidance from a mysterious man on a radio, Akikta will do whatever it takes to bring a piece of his family back and survive in this new era. Even if that means making himself out as an enemy.
