Ordered by the Brigadier to help save a runaway train, UNIT is left at the mercy of the occupants of the deadly spaceship...

It soon becomes a chase through outer space for the Doctor and his companion to rescue the UNIT organisation that has been taken prisoner. The person behind it is none other than the Doctor's old enemy, the Master!
