One month before Jade Mountain Academy opens to the world of Pyrrhia, 3 dragons are thrust into each other's crossroads, forever altering the course of their lives.
Eclipse is a restless Nightwing living in secrecy within the Sky Kingdom, yearning for freedom and independence. Her first venture beyond her hidden home takes an unexpected turn when she saves an injured SkyWing and sets off on a dangerous journey to the Sand Kingdom.
Emerald, a diplomatic Skywing from a family of royal envoys, is torn from his familiar life when a storm leaves him grounded and at the mercy of strangers. As he grapples with his growing doubts about negotiation and diplomacy, he begins to question whether survival sometimes demands a harsher approach.
Kiwi is a curious and free-spirited Rainwing. She craves more than the tranquility of the rainforest. Her search for adventure pulls her into the Sand Kingdom, where she finds herself tangled into a web of danger that goes further than she could ever imagine.
Every dragon has the potential to be a hero, but not every hero emerges unscathed.

Although the events and characters adhere to the canon of the official series, and the events in this book occur one month before the events of Arc 2 of the official series, no characters in this book or events that occur are to be considered canon.

This book is a little outdated and will be getting a rewrite soon! ------------------ Fighting, dragons were always fighting in the Rainforest. Not physically, but verbally. The Rainforest Kingdom was being torn apart by its residents. The RainWing's and NightWing's. Queen Dandelion and King Palmtree are doing nothing to calm down their tribe, so, someone else has to. Lavender is an seven year old dragonet who belongs to both tribes. She's a hybrid, born from her RainWing mother and NightWing father. Her life is wonderful, at least in her family and small village close to the edge of the Rainforest. But, she's starting to notice the change within everyone, as if they know something is coming, something bad. Lavender wants to keep her kingdom safe, just like all dragons do, but she also wants to keep everyone connected and stop them from being torn apart. Will she be able to fix the ties that brought the RainWing's and NightWing's together? And why does she keep having visions of nothing but pitch blackness? Did something happen to her niece? And what will happen when a bully Skywing keeps making her doubt that being a hybrid is somehow wrong? Will Spirit be able to recover her regular self or will she give up and become a doormat? And how will a secret admirer come into play? Especially when Spirit begins to get more visions of strange giant creatures deep within the ocean. When his IceWing guardian was about to die of SandWing venom, Soaren was determined to save him by travelling to the Rainforest, where he heard he could retrieve the cure for the venom. It would have been easier than going to the Sand Kingdom. Soaren had hid his true identity as the 'lost' SkyWing, but he needs to eventually open up. With the NightWings in the Rainforest, more mind readers will be born and they'll find out who he is.
