Normal does not even begin to discribe Alice Liddell...

Fear has never had an affect on Alice--but that was before she landed herself in an Asylum, her world is fraught with danger both inside and out of the Rutland Asylum iron gates. Here, the cutthroat ranks of staff perform unspeakable acts on the insane and their secretive nature is bound to be exposed. As Alice questions her sanity, she must navigate through this dangerous world, confront the temptation of forbidden romance, and never once let her guard down, as it could cost her, her life.

Bea Dawson was just a girl. Just like everyone else, she got up absurdly early every morning, worked a job, and fell asleep in front of her TV at a time that would send her friends into a laughing fit. She was perfectly normal, perfectly boring some would even say. That was, until she woke up one morning, not in her bed, but in the middle of a forest. It didn't take her long after that to realize that she'd somehow gotten herself stuck in Storybrooke; a fictional town from a fictional show she had watched once or twice before. Bea was lost and didn't know what to do, but what she did know was that she needed some help. And she knew of a certain Hatter that had more than enough room at home to accommodate her. Jefferson Hatter was a hateful man. After years of watching his daughter enjoy her life with a family that didn't consist of him, in a house big enough for fifteen people, he had enough. He figured he would never have to deal with another living person again. Bea Dawson happened to throw a wrench into that plan. With her smiley attitude, promises of a better life, and hair that smelt of jasmine and vanilla. It was inevitable that he would fall, wouldn't you agree? All that mattered was if she would be there to catch him. 1st: jeffersonhatter (12/16/2021) 2nd: jeffersonxoc (06/21/2025) 2nd: gracehatter (12/25/2021) (I do not own these characters as they belong to ABC's "Once Upon A Time" universe, although the beautiful Bea is of my own creation.) © ARIDT07 - All rights reserved. Alice is a 21-year-old woman trapped in a world of darkness, haunted by a troubled past filled with deep emotional and physical scars from her childhood. For the past three years, she has been living in an experimental facility for those deemed criminally insane, where she grapples with her inner demons. Despite her chilling actions as a serial killer-most notably, her final act of vengeance against a man who had assaulted her, where she took pleasure in watching him choke-Alice finds solace and expression in her love for cooking and baking, using these crafts as a means to connect with herself amid her chaotic life. Enter Devon Hanson, a charismatic volunteer at the facility and a published author and journalist. Devon's genuine interest in Alice sparks a transformation in her, as he seeks to understand the mind behind her actions. Through their conversations, Alice begins to confront her past, slowly uncovering the layers of her trauma. The bond they form is unexpected, challenging Alice to rethink her existence and the choices she made, as Devon's presence offers a glimpse of hope and the possibility of redemption in a world that has largely abandoned her. As Alice and Devon navigate their complex relationship, they become entwined in a dangerous dance that tests the boundaries of trust, sanity, and morality. Their interactions not only provide Alice a chance to confront her painful memories but also uncover the dark secrets of the facility itself. Hidden agendas and twisted motives emerge, leading both characters down a path that confronts the very nature of good and evil, ultimately forcing Alice to decide if she can embrace a future beyond her past.
