It was a normal day on September 2nd 2021 at least for me. It could have been the constant beating of raindrops sliding down the window or the gushes of wind blowing my notes everywhere that made it this way. I started doodling in the corner of my page boringly, the lines going right through the daisy I drew. I started to wonder, maybe about the meaning of life or my maths homework due next week that I had no idea what to do with, one thing lead to another and the next thing I knew I was thinking about the person who should've been beside me right now. I couldn't help but think why they were so late, was their grandma sick or something? I guess I'll never know as they won't show up, leaving me to do the project the teacher was talking about myself. 'Great. More people who leave because I'm too weird.' I thought negatively, the slight smile I had on my face from listening to the sounds outside now turning into a frown. I was scribbling down little characters and random things for the next thirty minutes not noticing my grouchy teacher Miss Mazda shouting because apparently, I wasn't allowed my water bottle on my desk. "Miss Green! Miss Green! Sage Green!" She yelled, clearly frustrated. After a minute I realised she was talking to me, I moved up my sage green eyes to see her slamming a large book on my desk with a big, BANG! I flinched at the sudden contact with my arm, she didn't mean to hit it right? I closed my eyes in pain as the teacher continued to shout, "I told the whole class yesterday morning that there were to be no water bottles on the desks! Why do you have to be so daft and won't listen to-" The door swiftly opened, I peeled open my eye to glance at the person who thankfully disrupted the teacher. I should've known by all the whispering. It was him.

Detention

We held our breath as we heard footsteps enter the dark room. My heart raced and I covered my mouth to keep from screaming as tears ran down my cheeks. Caleb sat next to me, with obvious fear in his eyes. I knew that the desk couldn't hide us for much longer and that's what scared me the most. The footsteps came closer and they grew louder by the second. I held my breath once I heard the man's footsteps stop. Caleb and I exchanged looks as we sat frozen under the desk. I looked up, trying to listen to the man's actions. Then a gloved hand grabbed the edge of the desk and the man's bloody mask appeared in front of me. He stared at us and chuckled, "Found you." · · · Seven classmates find themselves in detention from breaking the rules at their school. This, of course, isn't their first time in detention but something seemed different. The teacher leaves to do something leaving the kids completely unsupervised which was kind of weird. He usually left some goody two shoes to watch them but this time there was no one except them. Creepy things begin to happen and they find themselves locked in the school. What was this? Time is ticking as they try to find their way out before they end up lying in a puddle of their own blood.
