At the beginning of it all...
A nuclear explosion caused a war between people, a war between hunter and prey. For years, scientist tried to figure out what separated the mind of those who were hunters and those who were preys. They finally discovered that it was simply in the bloodstream of them, people were just born with a mark on their right cheek, black was for hunter, red is prey, and grey, is common ground, the hunters would kill and eat the greys, so the preys and hunters could roam the earth together with no fear, the hunters were content with eating the greys, that was until, 8 years ago, a man, Paul Hudson, who was born a hunter, killed his wife, Katie Hudson, who was a prey. It insued fear within the preys and the government separated the preys and hunters with a wall. Today, the government has decided to allow teenage hunters and prey to attend the school, but the hunters must wear mussels at all times, on the off chance they go feral.
Jared, the son of Paul and Katie, has been an outsider to all, as his father was blamed for the separation of the world. While VIvianne, daughter of Eric and Vanessa Jackson, both preys, has lived her life as a nerdy but sweet hearted girl, who never caused trouble in anyone's lives, that was until, she made the choice that changed her life.
