Torment

Draco Malfoy was many things, a bully, perhaps a racist but his father's spawn he was not.

Years of abuse had taken a toll on him, his curious eyes now a stone cold grey, his innocence now shadowed by
the night, his thoughts washed over, his future a drear abyss. After all he was only a child screaming at the world to save him for he felt unsafe even in his own skin. How horrifying is it that the world only listened after a DADA class gone wrong where his secrets spilled like blood.

Hermione Granger would listen to him when no one else would because apathy was not a trait of a Gryffindor and definitely not one she wanted to possess, she would listen because she couldn't heal herself either but mostly she would listen because of the torment he held in his silver eyes, the torment they shared.
