He didn't always live here. It's dark, sad, and can be quite scary at times. He was only an African mouse after all. He shouldn't have to stand these conditions and anxieties. However, he knew he had to hold on to one thing, he was a mouse named Bill. Bill remembered when his life was bright and worry free, almost. He remembered his brother like friend, Ted. Those two were of odd sorts in the animal kingdom. Ted wasn't a mouse, he was a big and beautiful hippo. Bill knew that remembering Ted wasn't a good idea. He had to let go of the past and his old life it didn't matter anymore. Bill thought about what that old rabbit said before he was taken,"Don't get comfortable. It's only a matter of time before the hands get snatching and the water gets boiling." Every time Bill recited those words a chill ruffled his whiskers.
