The names of the chapters are definetly not inspired by "Friends" :) A trip to the beautiful village Lyndhurst in England quickly goes downhill as the six young adults discover the dark secrets of the village. The friend group was pretty much inspired by the Five Nights at Freddy's book "The Silver Eyes" as I am currently reading it. That's where I got the name Marla from, and Charlie kind of inspired me to make Willow's personality the way it is. Its not too similar to Charlie's though. Atleast not in my opinion. Also for you who don't know, Aaliyah is pronounced Aa-Lee-Yah. With emphasis on the Aa, and the Yah is basically more of an exhale. Please vote and comment your thoughts if you're enjoying the story! Also I apologize if I spelled anything wrong or such. <3

Memories

Willowborn Book One ***This is a work of fiction. Any relation to people, places, events, or objects is entirely coincidental. *** Somewhere in the wilds of Virginia is a town completely covered in Willows. It's not like every tree is a Willow, but it seems like you see one every 100 ft. It's a pretty normal historical small town. 35 families, Founder Homes, a parade every homecoming, holiday, and festival. Town pride is a must, the local "church" is the real authority in town, and the local families can be traced back generations. In such a town barrels in Dani Avelle. At 13 years old she developed something the Willow calls the Gift. Hers was the amazing ability to be randomly assaulted by memories from every person, place or thing she comes in contact with, along with the ability to channel people who were also from one of the towns founding families. 10 years later, with her best friend, her best friends boyfriend, and her little sister she learns that no, it wasn't all in her head, its an actual thing in a real place with people who actually lived, and that if she leaves the "safety" of the town she'll have only a few months to live. Stuck in a super modern but also ancient town, reevaluating positions and relationships, and just trying to be a freshly graduated entrepreneur, its a lot, but when the information the Willow gives out and the information she gets from her Gift don't match, Dani will need to decide just how far she wants to get into the Willow. Add in the new unexpected challenge of a new group dynamic and you have yourself an interesting first year in Nevermore. Art by anaya_44305 (Instagram)
