Royal Flush is book two in the novel SEQUENCE, "Us, unlucky few." These books have hidden intertwined storylines with somewhat familiar characters but can be read independently. 

We meet Amelia Newsom-Walters, a 16-year-old black girl adopted into a multi-race prominent British-American family. She struggles to come to terms with her newfound wealth, status, and family not long before she comes to meet Theodore Ahlgren, a privileged boy who comes to help her find clarity and likewise with her to him.
