After a close encounter with the Daleks, the Doctor rushes back to the Tardis to find it malfunctioning and spewing sparks. Confused and worried he runs around the console frantically pressing buttons in a desperate attempt to stop the meltdown. Amidst the chaos, the console starts to glow a pale blue, and from it emerges and young, teenaged girl. Upon seeing the Doctor, she runs to him and embraces him with tears in her eyes. She identifies herself as Zoria. Upon hearing her name the Doctor's hearts drop and sweat starts to bead on his forehead. He recognizes the name, from a long time ago. She has taken it upon herself to fight aliens that come to earth, hoping that she might one day run into him. One day Sarah Jane witnesses a large rock fall to earth near where she lives and decides to investigate it herself. When she takes a sample of the rock a purple gas is released from it, it goes straight into Sarah Jane's body. At that moment the Tardis materialises and the tenth Doctor steps out of it. The Doctor doesn't figure out that Sarah Jane has been taken over until it is almost too late for both of them. After a series of unusual events Sarah Jane finds herself at home, not remembering meeting the Doctor again at all, but this time she isn't the only one left behind.

Her fair complexion lends her an ethereal appearance. Not to mention that her outfits make her look like a noblewoman from a historical series. She pinches herself, only to realise that the blonde woman staring at her is herself. A thought struck her mind, as she utters her first statement in this world, "Fuck me". Medea has finished her work, but she is still unsure how to fix all of the messes. She hasn't been herself in a long time, and it's bothering her. The throne seems so far away, and the weight of the burden grows heavier with each passing day. A letter from the Imperial Palace has arrived, instructing the Duchess to look after the House of Smith's Duchess of Light, Natalie Wilson Smith.
