Zachary and Christian Nilsson - identical twins at St. Paul's Chisholm High School - are the bane of June Ledge's teenage existence.

In her final year in high school, June wants nothing more than to be away from the twins:
Zachary because he's trouble that's wrapped in charm despite them sharing an unsaid, insanely weird friendship. And Christian because of their two-year-long feud that grows heavy with tension as the day passes.

So when June makes a written comment about Christian, the note ends up falling into his hands, starting a silent war she doesn't know how to fight. And if that's not torture enough, Zachary is offering to unknowingly help her win in exchange for her tutoring him.
