Continues from my last book. 

I pushed my foot further on the accelerator as I drove, black cars started to file behind us. There were gun shots which told me we were now in a car chase. 

"ALINA take the wheel," I ordered, letting go and grabbing a gun from the pouch in my seat. 

The car continued to drive perfectly in perfect speed and I threw the gun back to Lilly. 

"Do NOT use your powers around this car!" I shouted at her over the sound of bullets. "Bad enough those assholes are shooting at us. ALINA! Shields up!"

The front of the car went brighter as the shields went up and I grabbed another gun from under Newt's seat. 

"You boys, there are guns under the back seat if you want to use them," I told them, unclipping my seat belt. 

"What are you doing?" Newt yelled. 

"Grab a gun babe, we're in for a ride," I smirked as Thomas handed him a gun. 

I tied the seatbelt around my wrist and gripped it. 

"ALINA, turn when I say, Newt fire when we turn," I ordered preparing myself and my gun. "Ready?"

Newt nodded and Thomas handed him the other gun. 

"TURN!"

I kicked open the door and leant out just as ALINA turned the car. As we were sideways to the other cars I had a clear shot to shoot the tires. Bullets fired above me as Newt shot at the cars as well and as soon as the course of the car went straight, Newt stopped firing and I pulled myself in, shutting the door again. 

"That was BADASS!" Lilly squealed.

[COMPLETED] "Shoot," Joey mumbles, letting out a string of profanities under his breath. We turn around to find a group of men, all with guns, standing where we just came from, and they look pissed... probably because they were forced to run through this tunnel after us. "Thought you could get away, didn't you?" The man who I saw before asks. His husky voice booms in the hollow tunnel, reverberating off of the dirt walls. His voice sounds familiar, and a realization strikes me. It sounds like the man from my dream. I remember him holding a gun and wearing a blue suit, smiling evilly at me. "Leave us alone," Joey says, sounding dangerous and snapping me out of my thoughts. The levity of the situation hits-we need to get out of here. I look around for a route of escape and thankfully I see a light, literally, at the end of the second tunnel. I let out a small, almost inaudible, gasp and nudge Joey. He looks at me and I subtly gesture with my head to the second tunnel. He glances at it and immediately we are on the same page. His jaw sets and he looks at the group. The man speaks up again, chuckling darkly-a sound I will never forget and will be permanently etched into my brain, "You can thank your father for starting this mess." -------------------------- Liza was a normal teenaged girl, living the average life that an eighteen year old girl should be living. Some parts and some of the timeline I had to change so it makes more sense but the basics are still there same so it's okay. If you didn't read the book, some parts might be confusing, just a PSA.
