Lyla Robertson is 19 years old and just transferred to Oakridge College for her sophomore year. Her freshman year at her hometown College did not go as planned and she's hoping for a fresh start. On her first day Lyla meets Shawn Nolton, the incredibly sexy yet sweet school hockey captain. Try as she may, Lyla can't seem to keep her distance from Shawn. With exes, new friends, and enemies interfering, will Lyla get the new start she was hoping for? And will she be able to push through a painful past to let down her walls and let Shawn in?

Shawn Nolton is a 20 year old junior and captain of the hockey team at Oakridge College. When he first meets the new girl Lyla, he's taken aback. He's been trying to distance himself from getting into a relationship after getting his heart broken in sophomore year. Yet, Shawn can't help the pull Lyla has on him and he finds himself vying for the attention of the new girl. With some competition and distractions in the way, Shawn will have to work to get Lyla to trust him while working on his own flaws along the way.
