"I know you're in there, Y/N." His voice echoed over the empty room he was in; so deep and somber that it sounded devoid of any expression.
You cowered under your bed, one hand clasping your mouth to control the pace and sound of your ragged breathing as you slowly descended to hyperventilation.
Soft whimpers elicited from your throat, though not loud, it was still a source of sound.
And you knew that he had heard it.
Heavy footsteps thudded against the wooden flooring as they closed to your proximity.
You began to panic even more, grasping your mouth this time.
"Y/N?" He called out, endearingly.
Oh, but you knew better than that.
"Please, let's talk this out." His voice was soft albeit deep.
He was trying to lure you out.
He padded across the room you were hiding in and stopped by the bed. You begged to God that he didn't find you but all those prayers seemed to have been in vain as your horror-stricken gaze was then met with his despondent beady ones that you've come to regret knowing.
"Found you."

"You're different from what I expected," she said softly.
"How so?" he asked, glancing at her.
"I don't know," she replied, searching for the right words. "You just... have this way of making people feel like they matter. Even here, in this... nightmare."
He was quiet for a moment before responding. "You matter, Y/n. Don't forget that."
