Under The Sea

Axel has spent his entire life trapped by the rules that govern his species, taught to fear humans and avoid them at all costs. His father has strived his entire life to keep him within the walls of their Kingdom where he is safe. But Axel's curiosity cannot be contained, no matter how hard his father tries, and when his path crosses with Samuel, a human prince with a past of his own, Axel can't help but give in to his curiosity.

As the two grow closer, Axel soon finds the boundaries of his curiosity blurring as he begins to develop feelings he could have never anticipated for Samuel. But in the shadows of the waters that surround the Kingdom of Latistan, an old threat lurks and threatens to bring up the trauma of Axel's past and destroy everything he holds dear.

This story is an Achillean twist on the story of "The Little Mermaid" (inspired by both the Disney animated feature and the original tale written by Hans Christen Anderson)
