Our backdrop is Elyria, one of the six kingdoms in the Castesian Alliance.
In order of first appearance:
Izara: A village girl with chronic pain who has the ability to heal others
Amira: A girl who lives in the palace who enjoys sneaking out at night to protect the villagers
Kadiri: A boy who wishes to be a member of the King's Guard
Kalil: Amira's older brother who is hated by the king (for some mysterious reason XD)
Izara, Amira, Kadiri, and Kalil all live in Elyria.
TW: this story includes chronic pain (obviously), child abuse (physical and emotional), mentions of assault, violence (not gore), fantasy illnesses that mimic mental illness (I can't use the terms c-PTSD, anxiety, or depression in a fantasy novel), and torture
