Laura's life gets shattered to pieces, when the small orphanage she grew up in is disbanded and her seven young brothers sent across the country to other orphanages. They might not share the blood, but she can't accept that twist of life and decides she will not let law break up the only family they all had.

So when she ends up on Maksim's doorstep with plans of summer camp for boys, Maksim can't resist helping her, going as far as to offer his own summer house for the camp.

the summer she left

32 parts Complete Mature

The summer she left James Summerville never thought summer camp would change his life, but when he met Aphrodite at Miss Nicole's Academy for Troublesome Children, everything shifted. The two teenagers shared an undeniable bond, rooted in laughter, secrets, and a yearning to escape their broken worlds. However, their connection ran deeper than love; it was forged in the shadows of despair. As they navigate young love, their world spirals out of control-trapped between the fleeting joys of life and the haunting pull of the abyss. Aphrodite carries a burden too heavy for her heart to hold, and James, lost in his own battles, tries to save her from the dark thoughts whispering in her ear. But some paths, once chosen, are impossible to turn back from. Told through the intertwining perspectives of two souls on the brink, The Summer She Left explores the fragility of life, the intensity of first love, and the devastating impact of losing someone you thought you could save. Can love survive the edge of oblivion, or will it plunge them both into the depths?
