A song from the Nubian is an epic that is -in part-about a fictional middle-age monarchy located on the Nubian desert- a monarchy created by the early Ottoman settlers that dared to spread across Lower Nubia in Africa. The story is also about belief systems, tradition and the reality of the undiluted supernatural. At the center of the story is Senneria- an empire with all the trappings of a Muslim enclave in her golden age. Although politically, Senneria was in her decline, plagued by a aged leadership, growing enemies and a tussle for power, the empire's survival was hinged on the will of one of her princes named Adlan. However, despite the promise he held, Prince Adlan only could play a small part in a greater story- a story about a hunted god he encountered in the form of a man.

One moment I'm standing amidst the crumbling ruins of a Late Republican villa, running my fingers over a mysterious medallion. The next, I'm in ancient Rome, staring into the eyes of a man I never thought I'd see in the flesh. Roman Senator Marcus Valerius - the subject of the fresco that's had me swooning since I was ten. And holy gods, his fresco did not do him justice. The man standing before me is a chiseled, breathing embodiment of pure, unadulterated masculinity. His intense gaze is locked on me, and I swear, my knees are actually weak. I always thought that was just a cheesy romance trope - but no, here I am, wobbling like a baby giraffe. But here's the thing: those dusty history books I've spent my life poring over? Yeah, they left out a few crucial details. Like how Marcus has brothers. Three of them. And they're all... wait for it... devastatingly gorgeous in their own ways. There's Lucius, with his warrior's build and a smirk that promises he's conquered far more intimate territories than any battlefield. Flavius, the diplomat, with a silver tongue that I'm quite sure has talents beyond negotiating treaties. And Rufus, the enigmatic freedman whose clever hands and perceptive eyes seem to see right through me, unraveling my secrets before I even know what's happening. I'm clearly in a world of trouble. But with Marcus's commanding presence making my heart race, Lucius's heated glances sending shivers down my spine, Flavius's sinful promises whispering in my ear, and Rufus's quiet charm drawing me in - I'm not so sure I even want to find my way back out.

The desert sands absorbing the man's precious supply of blood that flowed from his headless body. The young Pharaoh felt himself being lifted up by a familiar hand. It was Kahmunrah. --------------------------------- Ahkmenrah and his older brother Kahmunrah are Egyptian Princes of the Fourth Dynasty and the best of brothers. They are as different as the sun and moon or as gold differs from silver. But they brothers in blood and spirit. Two parts of one whole. They have been told more than once that Egypt had been blessed to have them as Sons. But one tragic event tears their lives to pieces and threatens to drive them apart for all eternity. (Highest Ranking: #108 in Historical Fiction) Was a featured story on the Ides of March. Disclaimer: I don't own the characters from Night at the Museum. Also admittedly some of the stuff that is written is a little problematic. I retain full responsibility of the problematic writing and I apologize if it causes hurt or seems insensitive, it was not my intention at the time of writing merely a reflection of the bad influences from the books I had been reading as a young teen. I am trying very hard to make this book more politically correct in my other drafts as do I do not want other people to normalize toxic, homophobic and sexist tropes/ideologies and beliefs through their reading. In your world, women are the dominant sex. You fight, hunt and defend while the men nurture your children and keep you happy. That is until an Earth man stumbles into your camp and turns everything upside down. It is common knowledge that women are the more capable sex: powerful, ambitious, intelligent. Big and strong, you're built to hunt and fight, while the men make good nurturers and loving partners. It has been this way for generations. On a scouting mission, you capture a man lurking around your border. He is not like the others, strangely dressed and spouting ridiculous claims that men should be treated equally with women. Nonsense, as far as you're concerned. But when the marauding Northerners threaten your tribe, you are forced to reconsider. Perhaps the stranger is right; perhaps men are much more than what they seem. The problem is, have you realised it too late? Part 7 of the Unnatural Instinct Series: the hard and fast, wacky and naughty sexual encounters between humans and their monstrous or magical lovers.
