Life on the Boiling Isles is tough by default. Between the acid rain, demons and monsters running around, and magic, it's hectic. For anybody. [Disclaimer!: I do not own the Owl House or its characters.] The students knew what the "Day of Unity" really was. Their parents didn't believe them, but as long as it was stopped. It wasn't a problem. Well, until Emperor Belos decided that they were too exhausting to be left alone anymore. A barrier was created that day. The rebels took the Knee half. Belos took the Head half. It couldn't be flown over. There was no way around it. One would need to walk through to get to the other side of the broken Isles. That journey was too dangerous to be done. Forcing both sides to keep to themselves until it came down. No survivors were recorded, fueling the rage towards the rebels. As one of them was accused of creating the barrier. This unstable, involuntary truce would not last forever. All either side could do was prepare for the increasingly violent fights between small groups. Her first time going through it was hard, which was to be expected as she was only fourteen, but it wasn't completely unbearable. Her parents simply brought her to a room in the manor designed specifically for times like that and she stayed there for the week that it lasted.
