Celestina Harper, mostly called Celest is no ordinary human. People never gained the knowledge as to why she has these peculiar visions,why her eyes will roll back in her head until it is blank white and why she talks a different language to herself. People believe that she is crazy especially her mother, who hears her loud screams at night and her complaints about a person watching her while she sleeps. In order to stop America's population from decreasing and saving members from the madness of this 17 year old girl, they locked her away in a building where insane people are kept, the Mental Institution. But what Celest doesn't know is that an organization called the Restitution wants to use her power to rule the nation.

Now Celest has to use her powers that she knows nothing about to defeat these people, to fight back because she won't use her powers to hurt anyone anymore. But there is this boy who works in the Restitution who wants to help Celest. There is something about this boy that keeps Celset's mind roaming. Under that handsome, captivating, addictive face, he seems untrustworthy.
