The men of the 31st Vostroyan Grenadiers are among these valiant few even as the carnage comes to consume them all in their desperate bid to reach Primarch Roboute Guiliman with their priceless charge.

Nuadan Bahad has lived for millennia fighting the enemies of the Aeldari. A Strike Force of Blood Angels and Lamenters are thrust into a completely new reality, along with a fleet of Imperial Refugees. But how? And Why? If fate is to be believed, the Emperor has sent the Great Angel's Sons here with a task. They are to protect an infant Mankind from an encroaching Darkness. It is the 41st Millennium and the Imperium of Man only knows war. Chaos threatens to topple it, aliens and Xenos come at it from all sides. There is only war.
