James "Bucky" Barnes has just come off a successful mission working with Captain America, Sam Wilson.  Feeling welcomed by Sam, his sister Sarah and her sons he made the decision to move to New Orleans.  Offering to house sit while the Wilsons go to a family reunion his solitude is interrupted by a woman, Erin Stewart, knocking on the door requesting help for a flat tire.  After learning she is escaping an abusive marriage Bucky offers to help her get to safety.  When he realizes her husband is a dangerous extremist Bucky calls for more help and the Avengers get involved.  In a cross-country drive, aided by Clint Barton and Maria Hill, the three attempt to get Erin into the safety of the witness protection program before they are intercepted by her husband and his extremist partners.  Complicating matters is the connection Bucky feels with Erin.  Is it love or just a shared emotional experience they have in common?  Either way Bucky begins to feel emotions he thought were gone forever.
